Oh Sawyer.....

While eating his breakfast the other day, Sawyer was looking at the birds out on our deck and says,
"Birds are pretty smart. I wish my brain was as big as a bird's brain."

The Pawnee Water Park

Every year Papa Steve's family hosts a huge golf tournament followed by a family lunch! Bill, Uncle Alex, and Papa Steve have played for the past few years and uncle Mike joined them yesterday too! Nana Kathy, the boys and I decided to spend the day at the Pawnee water park while they golfed and it was SO fun!!!

I was a bit nervous about it being a little too hot to have Raylan out, but the weather was just perfect! Not too hot and just a tad overcast. The park had quiet a few attractions for kids Sawyer's age and a lazy river for those of us who were feeling lazy :) Sawyer's favorite was swinging his way across the pool on a rope net thing but he wasn't quite tall enough to make it all the way to the other side...so Nana Kathy and I had to stand there every time to catch him at the end :)

Half way through the afternoon Raylan called it quits and conked out.zzzzzzzzz

He was the cutest thing ever in his little sun glasses!!!! Check out the chubby belly!

As you can tell from Raylan's face, we had a GREAT time!

I Scream, You Scream....

Last Thursday I took all my Day Care kiddos to their cooking class at Whole Foods and the main ingredient was ICE CREAM!!! They started out by making ice cream sandwiches with rice crispy treats and chocolate gelato!

All the kids had chocolate lips, chins and cheeks!

Raylan came with us that morning too along with Samantha who is now too old for the cooking class. She appointed her self as Raylan's nanny for the morning and did a great job of bouncing him around and keeping him entertained for most of the class!

Their next treat was a twist on an ice cream float~they started out with a few scoops of raspberry sherbert, added a little pink lemonade and then a healthy splash of lime soda! It was super duper yummy!

Their last and final masterpiece was a 'fried ice cream ball'. They crushed up some cinnamon toast crunch cereal, rolled a ball of vanilla ice cream in it and then topped it off with whip cream and chocolate fudge!!! They all had a total blast but were pretty much bouncing off the walls for the rest of the afternoon!
