The adventures Oliver K. Woodman

It is pretty much the coolest thing in the world for Sawyer when he gets a letter in the mail that is addressed to him, so when a huge envelope arrived with SAWYER ROLLINS printed on it......minds were blown! Bill's sister Danielle is a published author and editor at Random House in New York City! We are VERY proud of her. So once she read on the blog that Sawyer has started the adventure of reading, she sent him some amazing books from her publishing house! He was stoked! He opened them up right away and started sounding everything out! Thanks Aunt Dani!

Sawyer's hair has been out of control. Bill wanted him to grow it out, I wanted it short...it was a mix between a lumber jack and a yeti....As you can tell, I won this battle! Off we went to see our hair stylist, Alli who transformed him from hooligan to handsome devil!

The Kindergarten class has been reading the book, 'Oliver K Woodman'. It's a story of how this little wooden guy made his way across the United States by hitching rides with different people and having lots of adventures along the way. Mrs. Johnson came up with the great idea to make her own little Oliver K. Woodman and let each child take him home for a night, have some fun and then journal their adventure in the binder! So, we had Oliver last night and took him with us to run our errands.
*Notice Oliver under the black cape getting his hair cut?

Feeling like a new man after his hair cut, Sawyer, Oliver and I dropped by TCBY to get a treat and wouldn't ya' know that they have free toppings on Tuesdays!!!! We all got a frozen treat and picked one up for Papa Steve since his real birthday was yesterday!

When we got home, Sawyer got straight to work on his part of the story and drawing his pictures. For some reason he wanted our part of the story to take place in Old Mexico (What??) Whatever! He was super duper excited to take Oliver K Woodman back to school today and share with the class what he had been up to that night!
